Abstract: DEWILAN, Jeanny Eve A. and LANDEZA, Irene A. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, October 2004. “Online Computer Aided Instruction On Engineering Materials.” Adviser: Mr. Marlon Diloy The study aimed to develop an Online Computer-Aided Instruction on Engineering Materials. The software contains home, lessons, exams, glossary, and profiles. There are two levels of access of users, the administrator and the student. The administrator is the one who is in control of maintaining the database. There is also maximum security protection because the users are required to log-in with a definite username and password before they can use the system. Specifically, the study was made for the benefit of the instructor and the students of Engineering Materials of the Cavite State University. The software was made to be flexible enough to meet the demands of fast technology innovation. The software enables the administrator to define and update the content of the subject matter, while the students will be provided with consistent, accurate and accessible information regarding the subject Engineering Materials. The software was developed using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), JavaScript, Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML), Apache Server, MySQL Server, and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Paper prototyping was used as the paradigm.
