Abstract: ANGAM, JOSEPH ALLOMAR V., SAN PEDRO, SUNSHINE R., SARCIA, ROSELLE C. Working in the New Normal: Work Environment as to the Mental Health of Selected Senior High School Teachers in Imus, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2022. Adviser: Ms. Mary Grace A. Ilagan Education is a powerful key to success of each and every student who hold the future. Thus, educators play pivotal roles for their growth in order to mold them as potential and competent agents of change. However, educators should be acknowledged on their efforts and hard works, and it is undeniable that they are affected by all circumstances they meet upon fulfilling their responsibilities in view of the fact that without them, education will not be delivered. Indeed, their health also matters. This study sought to describe the work environment as to the mental health of selected senior high school teachers in Imus, Cavite working in the new normal setup. Four standardized questionnaires were used and employed among 300 key informants of this paper. The data were gathered and analyzed through the application of statistical treatments as the hypotheses were tested through causal-explanatory statistical tool which was ordered logistic regression with a proportional odds model. The findings unearthed that there are significant relationship between the current mental state of teachers and their work environment. The sub variables measured propounded concrete evidences implying that some of these have significance and effects towards each other. Moreover, the proponents of this study addressed certain recommendations to the beneficiaries of this study such as giving psychological interventions and university-based activities to contribute to their mental health amid the new normal setup and dealing with their work environment.
