The study entitled, "The Stories of Families Living in Kubuhan Lapidario, Trece Martires City, Cavite: A Phenomenological Study". This study aimed to describe and reflectively analyzed the Stories of Families living in Kubuhan Lapidario, Trece Martires City, Cavite; determine the significant meanings and insights from their stories; and determine the implications of the Essential Family Stories in the field of Social Work Practice. The researchers used a Qualitative Research design specifically the Existential Phenomenological Approach. The researchers used self-made interview guide questions for the families, that were validated by their Thesis Adviser, Technical Critic, and three Social Work Experts in this study. In more than 5 years of living in the community of Kubuhan the families were able to have different experiences. This includes challenges in financial, emotional and health aspect. Yet those challenges thought them different learnings which resulted to their optimistic experiences. They were able to embrace their poor life and strive hard to achieve a better life. They learned to interact with others, compromise, learn decision making skills, budgeting skills, became resourceful, self-help and accept reality of their lives. They are aware of their current situation and are willing to do any means which can help improve the quality of their lives. Moreover, the results showed that although they are thriving hard to survive their everyday lives different opportunities are still suggestive. Housing programs, livelihood programs, business opportunities and job opportunities are reflected among the results, it will be possible through the means from the Local and National actors/officials in the country.
