This study was conducted in School Year 2021-2022 at the Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. This study investigated the perception and level of motivation of BAELS students toward the usage of the Duolingo application. Moreover, it seeks to examine the significant relationship between the students' perception and the students' level of motivation in using the language learning application Duolingo. The study's research design was descriptive correlational quantitative research. The data was collected via an online Google forms survey. The findings demonstrated that students had a positive overall perception and a relatively high level of motivation for using the Duolingo program for foreign language acquisition. According to the survey results, the BAELS students perceived Duolingo positively because it enhances their self-learning skills. It makes learning foreign language courses interesting, enjoyable, and easy. It makes them spend more time using Duolingo. In addition, it allows them to study autonomously and recommend it to others. It also satisfies their learning needs; it motivates them to study using their mobile gadgets.
