Abstract: HOG RAISING ENTERPRISE IN BUNA CERCA, INDANG, CAVITE: AN ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ABSTRACT WOOD, RICA A. Hog Raising Enterprise in Buna Cerca, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production, Cavite State University, Indag, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Dr. Irvin dL Matel. The swine production was conducted at Buna Cerca, Indang Cavite, near Ferdinand Liner Bus Company Terminal, from January 2018 to April 2018. The project aimed to acquire additional knowledge through actual experience; apply managerial skills on raising a swine; and determine the profitability and earn profit from raising swine. The swine production project used four weanlings purchased from Queentown Farm, Tambo, Malaki, Indang, Cavite. The starter feeds were bought from Caffmaco and shiftedto the BMEG Grower feeds that were from 3D Poultry Supply at San Gregorio St. Indang, Cavite. The hogs were fed three times a day, at about 7:00 A.M, 12:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. At day 98, the four fattened hogs were sold on live weight basis to the contract buyer at ₱130.00 per kilogram. The four hogs, with an initial body weight of 14kg, weighed 90.75kg in average at the end of production. At the end of the raising period, the project incurred a total cost of ₱37, 554.62. with a total sales of ₱47,190 resulting to an actual income of ₱9,635.38 from the four hogs The return on investment (ROI) was 25.65%.
