Abstract: PAULEEN KAE S. AL1VIAFtEZ Gender Division of Labor Among Employees of Selected Real Estate Companies in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2013. Adviser: Dr. Nelia C. Cresino. Generally, the study was conducted to determine the gender division of labor among employees of selected real estate companies in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: describe the socio-economic characteristics of employees of selected real estate companies; identify the gender division of labor of employees in productive, reproductive and community activities in selected real estate companies; describe the access and control over resources and benefits of the employees of real estate companies; and determine the time allocation in productive, reproductive and community activities of employees in selected real estate companies. The study was conducted in the selected towns of Cavite, namely: Alfonso, Amadeo, General Trias, Silang, and Tagaytay Data were obtained through personal interviews with 129 real estate employees using structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency count, percentage, mean and range. Result identified that most of the male and female employees of real estate companies had an average age of 36 years, married, attained formal education, belonged to the Catholic Religious Organization, had an average monthly income of Php14, i 35. The reproductive and community activities were mostly done by mothers, and female employees predominantly played important role in the productive activities. The mothers dominated father on access and control over home-based resources and benefits, and real estate resources and benefits. Likewise, the mothers dominated fathers on the management and control over resources and benefits.
