A study on the relation of weight, on the profitability of broilers was made on November 14, 1978 to January 16, 1979 at the Poultry Project, Department of Animal Science, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite to determine the most profitable market weight of broiler. One hundred Cobb broiler chicks were tested and randomly divided into four lot. The chicks were fed ad libitum with broiler mash. At the end of the experimental period, the average final weight of birds attained was 1,7C37.36 grams in Lot IV (1.7 kilograms live weight) within 9 weeks, Lot M. (1.5 kilograms live weight) or 1,502.00 grams at 7 weeks and 5 days period, Lot II, (1.3 kilo7ram live weight) or 1,281 grams after 7 weeks, and Lot I (1.0 kilogram live weight) or 1.030. at the age of 5 weeks and 4 days.
The average amount of feeds consumed to produce a kilogram gain in weight was lowest in Lot 1 with 2.5 kilo-grams followed by Lot II with 2.9P:, Lot III with 3.14 and Lot IV with 3.66 kilogram. The most profitable market weight and higher net labor returns obtained in Lot III with an average body kilograms.
