The study, "Response of gumamela cuttings to indolebutyric Acid" was conducted from September 5, 1978 to November 10, 1978 in the Floriculture nursery of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. The purpose was to determine how Gumamela Cuttings would respond to indole butyric acid gumamela cuttings of different strains (gold, pink, yellow, purple, red) were, taken from healthy mother plants and were dipped in the solution of Indole butyric acid before planting. The prepared cuttings were planted in a well-mixed and sterilized soil medium composed of garden soil and sawdust.
Based on the results of this study, Treatment 4 (gold strains of gumamela cuttings) showed the most effective treatment for gumamela when it comes to rooting either in length or in number.
