The study, "Growing Mushroom Using Peanut Stalk and Calopogonium Vines as Bedding Materials", was conducted from March to May, 1979 at Poblacion, Indang, Cavite to find out which bedding materials could be recommended for mushroom culture.
Bedding materials used in the study were Peanut Stalk, (Treatment 1) and Calopogonium Vines, (Treatment 2).
Treatment 1 (using peanut stalk) produced the highest number of mushroom as compared to bedding grown on calopogonium vines.
The result showed that mushroom gave different responses on different bedding materials. Using peanut stalk as bedding materials was so far the best to use.
