Abstract: The study, "Marketing Practices of Some Poultry Egg Raisers in Selected Towns of Cavite", was conducted to: 1) assess the existing marketing practices of poultry egg raisers in selected towns of Cavite; 2) identify major problems in poultry egg raising; and 3) recommend relevant solutions to these problems. Four poultry farms were used in the study. The farms were Miguelino's Poultry Farm in Naic, Nuestro's Poultry Farm in Amadeo, Pegenia's Poultry Farm in Indang, and Dalisay Poultry Farm in Dasmarinas. Arbor-Acre 26 was the breed used by these farms. Miguelino's Poultry Farm started with an initial capital investment of P5,000, Nuestro's Poultry Farm with an initial capital investment of P6,000, Pegenia's Poul-try Farm with an initial capital investment of P5,000, and Dalisay Poultry Farm with an initial capital investment of P200,000. Grading and packing are the pre-sale practices followed. In grading the poultry raisers considered size as basis. Price of eggs vary according to grades. Eggs were sold to wholesaler, retailer and direct consumers who directly went to the farms. Two respondents also brought their products to Public Market. They practiced the cash basis of selling eggs. Problems encountered were: high cost of feeds, shortage of feedstuffs during some period, inverted cloaca during the laying period, and rugged road to the farm.
