Bachelor in Sports and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser. Guylaine T. Nueva. The objective of this study was to examine the effects of dance or movement therapy for children with autism in the selected Special Education (SPED) schools in Dasmarinas City. The study was conducted from February to March 2019 in Cavite University, lndang, Cavite at the selected SPED schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite study: (1) described the demographic characteristics of the children with Autsim selected SPED schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite; and (2) determined the effects Of dance movement therapy in four domains; physically, emotionally, socially, mentally. The researchers used the descriptive research design to obtain information concerning the current status to describe what exist. In population and sampling they used snowball technique in gathering the participants in selected SPED schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite and provided survey questionnaire as the method of data gathering. Majority of the respondents were 10 to 15 years old in which there were 53 participants involved where in 30 of them were male and 23 are female. Most of them was four years in therapy and had one to three sessions per month only. The research showed that in four domains: physical, emotional, social. and mental, the effects of dance / movement was highly positive.
