Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Gemmae G. Pitong. The study, Student Information System for Governor Ferrer Memorial National High School (GFMNHS) Buenavista Annex was conducted to provide secured and organized records of the students and to have a fast and accurate generating of reports. The main feature of the Student Information System is to provide efficient information in each transaction, a system should be user-friendly and enables the fast processing of data accuracy of result generated and to acquire and develop a system for the needs of their school. The researchers used the Rational Unified Process as the software development methodology in the development of the system which includes four (4) phases: inception phase, elaboration phase, construction phase, and transition phase. The system was evaluated by the participants based on the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, main ability, and portability. Evaluators were composed of 33 respondents, 28 clients from the school, and five (5) IT experts from Cavite State University, Main Campus. The software was evaluated as "excellent", with the mean of 4.50 and a standard deviation of 0.57, by the participants of GFMNHS Buenvista Annex and IT experts from the Department of Information Technology of Cavite State University, Main Campus. The result of the evaluation proves that the system has met the needs and expectation of the clients. It also gives solutions to the problems encountered by the school and lessens, if not eliminate, the manual transaction inside the organization. It also provides efficient and timely reports
