I • A field study was conducted at Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc. located at Cabuyao, Laguna, from November 28, 2007 to February 22, 2008. The study was conducted to enable the student to apply the gained knowledge, skills, and tools in business management to the actual business situations. It also aimed to describe the organization and management, production and marketing aspects of the firm, and identify the problems encountered in the operations and recommend feasible solutions. Data on organization and management, management policies, motivation and incentives of the company, processing, and packaging were collected through observations and actual participations in the firm's activities, and interview with the personnel and other staff of the firm. Data on historical background, organization and management and other matters were taken from existing records of the firm. Other relevant information were collected from the University Library and the internet. The company is engaged in the production and bottling of Pepsi Cola products. It produces quality products in highly efficient lines that guaranteed pure and safe drinking cola since its introduction into the local market in 1946. The management of the firm reinforces reasonable rules and regulations for employees, wherein policies, provisions, degrees of penalties and offenses are written. Also, it provides its employees incentives like vacation leave, sick leave, paternity leave, overtime, and many more to increase their efficiency. In the warehouse wherein products are stored, management sees to it that products are delivered and distributed accordingly. The company is well-managed, however, it faces problems, which badly affect the increase in the level of production. Some of these problems were failure to meet the consumers? demand at the right time and place and unavailability of raw packaging materials. Despite these problems, the company still managed to earn profit because the employees are working effectively and efficiently. In three-month training, the trainee performed clerical tasks like recording, recruiting of applicants, typing and encoding the results of the exams of applicants and filing of papers of some employees of the firm. During the span of the training in the production office, problems were encountered which included adjustment to new environment, familiarity with some documents and files of work being assigned.
