Abstract: DAHAB, ALEXANDER and GASALAO, ANGELICA F. Information System on Tourist Destinations for the Tourism Department of Alfonso, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Percy. The study was conducted to develop an information system on tourist destinations for the tourism department of Alfonso, Cavite from January 2017 to June 2018. Specifically, the study aimed to:1. help the user in finding the perfect destination that they want; 2. minimize the tourist's time in inquiring on the destination; 3. give the exact information about the location of the place; and 4. introduce Alfonso, Cavite to other people in terms of having nice places that users can visit. The system help every individual who wants to acquire variety of information about Alfonso, Cavite by replacing the manual method of searching every tourist destinations. rlhe developers used the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method for the development of the study. Which includes the following phases namely: planning, analysis, design, implementation, system testing and integration, and maintenance. The system was designed using the following software tool: Sublime for text editor and coding. PHP: Hypertext Processor (PI-IP); XAMPP as server; My Structured Query Language (MySQL) for the database; l-ITML as a scripting language; and Cascading Style (CSS) for the style and layout. The system was evaluated in accordance to functionality, reliability, usability and user-friendliness. A total number of 52 participants who evaluated the system were composed of two (2) employees of Tourism Office and fifty (50) tourists. Evaluation results indicate that the system has passed and completed the needed requirements. The system was found to be an effective tool for changing the way tourists inquire and locate their desired destination and acquire variety of information about Alfonso, Cavite.
