This farm practice project was conducted in the backyard of Mr. and Mrs. Florencio Anciado of Lumipa, General Aguinaldo. The project was conducted to give the student a chance to put into actual practice what has been theoretically learned from her soil age studies particularly in the field of feedlot fattening of the cattle. The amount of 03,650.00 was used as capital for the purchase of stock and concentrate feeds. The study was financed by DSAC Extension Services through its income generating loan fund. The project was started on October 1985 and lasted up to February 1986. The cattle had an initial weight of 130 kilograms and reached a final weight of 180 kilograms live weight. Guinea grass and ipil-ipil leaves were used as roughage ration at the rate of 2 1/2 percent per. body weight in dry matter basis while rice bran, molasses and grated gabi for concentrates were given at the rate of 0.75 percent of the body weight. At the end of the project, the cattle were marketed at the Alfonso Auction Market. The net return obtained was 0998.00.
