Abstract: The project was implemented in Barangay Limbon, Indang, Cavite from October 1985 to February 1986. This was financed by the DSAC-AEOP. It is a joint activity between the farm practice student and farmer cooperator. The cattle having a weight of 140 kilograms were purchased at Luksuhin auction market, Alfonso, Cavite. It was entrusted to the farmer cooperator and he took care of the animal. The student assisted him during Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays and insured that all the management was followed. Ad libitum feeding of roughages mixed with considerable amount of molasses was advocated. Daily supplementation of one kilogram rice bran mixed with 3 kilograms was also done. Bathing the animals once a week was also done to promote sanitation. After five months of feeding, the animal reached the weight of 191 kilograms or a total gain in weight of 51 kilograms . The actual operational expenses of the project amounted to 03,629 giving a net income of 540.00.
