Abstract: A farm practice project was undertaken at Ba-raigay Cabuco, Trece Martires City, from August to November 1987. It aimed to determine the production of mung bean (variety yellow) when planted late in August and also to develop the ability of the Student Outreach Agent (BOA) in working with the farmer cooperator. A one hectare field that was previously planted with corn was plowed and harrowed three times. Basal application of 100 kilograms of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) was carried out before planting the mungo seeds. Planting was done occasionally. Harvesting was carried out when the green pods had turned black. Three hundred thirty (330) kilograms of clean dry seeds were sold at 018.00 per kilogram. The gross return from the project was five thousand nine hundred forty pesos (05,940.00). After deducting the total expenses of three thousand five hundred seventy pesos (03,570.00), the project gave a net profit of two thousand three hundred seventy pesos (02,370.00).
