Proposed Design of Steel Tower at General Trias was conducted from June 2013 to February 2014 at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. The objective of the study was to conduct a structural design of a steel tower, and to provide a complete architectural plan and structural plans of the tower. This study served as reference for the university and civil engineering students for their future designs. The Engineering Software STAAD (Structural Analysis and Design) was used in the analysis of the trusses. The guidelines set by National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) were followed in the design computation. The ultimate moment, shear and axial loads were the basis for the design. The study focused on the design of the steel tower including the member arrangement, connection details and the detailed cost estimate. The total cost of the project was Php 46,895,612.26.
