Abstract: The project was conducted at Indang, Cavite from January 28 to March 16, 1988. The project aimed to develop skills in operating a broiler project and to transfer the theoretical know-ledge of proper management into actual operation. During the entire period, the 200 birds consumed a total of 825 kilograms of feeds out of which, 240 kilo-grams was yellow corn. The birds attained an average body weight of 1.49 kilograms. This gave an average gain in weight of 1.44 kilograms and achieved an average feed efficiency of 2.6. At the end of the project, birds were marketed on dressed weight basis. The project realized a net return of P2,256,22 from a total investment of P6,234.50. Fifty percent yellow corn was found to be effective substitute for commercial feeds at finishing stage of broilers as observed and noted in the project.
