This study was conducted to determine factors affecting mental wellness among students in selected public secondary schools of Cavite. The study was conducted from January — February 2014 in four selected public secondary schools of Cavite namely Governor Ferrer Memorial National High School Biclatan Annex — General Trias, Cavite, Indang National High School - Indang, Cavite, General Vito L. Belarmino National High School — Brgy. Kalubkob, Silang, Cavite and Bagbag National High School — Bagbag, Rosario, Cavite. A total of 352 fourth year students participated in the study selected using judgmental and purposive sampling technique. Results shows that, in terms of biological factors, participants are on adolescent age, mostly are females (65.3%), permanent resident of Cavite (88%), were born non- twins (97.7%), experience very low trauma (4.66 general mean score) and are very healthy (4.34 general mean score). In terms of psychological factors, participants have high self-esteem (4.09 general mean score) and were positive thinkers (3.98 general mean score). In terms of socio-economic factors, they have very strong family relations (4.45 general mean score), were wealthy (3.73 general mean score), were highly intellectual (4.17 general mean score), and have very low traumatic childhood experiences (4.45 general mean score). Comparing biological factors in terms of age, sex, residence and types of birth, only age is highly related to mental wellness, the other factors are not.
