Bachelor of Science in International Studies major in European Studies. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. November 2014. Adviser: Mr. Renato T. Agdalpen. This study was conducted to: (1) identify and elaborate the diplomatic agreements in scientific and technical cooperation between the Philippines and Italy, (2) determine the status of the agreements signed by the Philippine Government and Italian Government, and (3) determine the policies of the Philippines and Italy in the field of science and technology. This study is descriptive in nature. Secondary data were gathered and analyzed. Data were gathered from the libraries of public and private institutions, the Italian embassy, and the official website of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, and Development Cooperation Office of Italy. There were 10 agreements on scientific and technical cooperation between the Philippines and Italy. The first agreement among the 10 was signed in February 1969. Pre-implementation and start-up activities were already conducted for the agreement regarding the provision of financial assistance to the Department of Agrarian Reform which was signed in 2011. The memorandum of understanding regarding the provision of technical training signed in 1993 has already ended in 2012 while construction period and period of services has expired for the agreement concerning Kalayaan Pumped Station.
