The study was conducted in a college and three universities in Cavite offering Operations Management as a major, namely: Cavite State University- Main Campus, De la Salle University — Dasmarifias Campus, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and ST1 College-Tagaytay from June to September 2015 to determine the predictors of academic performance of Operations Management students. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents; determine the study habits; study attitude; and academic performance of Operations Management students from selected schools in Cavite. Furthermore this study aim to: seek relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of Operations Management students and their academic performance; determine the relationship between the study habits and their academic performance; determine the relationship between study attitude and academic performance; and determine the predictors of academic performance of Operations Management students from selected schools in Cavite. The study employed the use of descriptive research and correlation research design to answer the objectives presented. The validity and reliability of research instruments was established and data was collected from 276 participants selected from a college and universities in Cavite using the proportionate sampling method. Findings revealed that the Operations Management students had effective and good study habits, have a positive attitude in studying, and they had good academic performance. There is a significant relationship between the study habits and attitudes of Operations Management students to their academic performance. The study also revealed that the study habits are the predictors of academic performance of Operations Management students from selected schools in Cavite. On the basis of the conclusions made, the researchers recommend that school and professors have big role to boost the motivation of the students through way of teachings and to the policy makers to set a standard or guide so that the way of teachings will be interesting to the students to get their attentions and can cope to the lessons provided in the course. For the students, they must know the good study habits and to perform it effectively to have high grades. Based on the results of the study, the highly effectiveness of good study habits the higher possibility to get high academic performance. Results of this study can be supplemental knowledge for getting high in their academic performance and lastly for future researchers who will conduct the same study, they can consider to broaden the scope of study through obtaining all GPA of the respondents from first year to fourth year as data. The result of this study can help as guide to the predictors of the academic performance of the students and as related arid supporting data to their studies.
