Abstract: REA ROSE R. NUESTRO “A Review On Plastic Prohibition in Relation to R.A 9003 as Implemented in The Municipality Of Indang, Cavite From Year 2012 to 2015” Undergraduate research study of Bachelor in Arts in Political Science, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2016, adviser Ms. Larvilyn C. De Salit. The main purpose of this study was to find out the awareness of the citizens in Indang regarding R.A 9003, plastic usage for goods and commodities in terms of individuals and business establishments, effectivity of the implementation of the said ordinance, indicators of implementing the ordinance, if the implementation is clearly observed and how to develop the said ordinance as implemented in the Municipality of Indang, Cavite from the year 2012 to 2015. Likewise, the researcher coordinated with the local government official to gather pertinent information about the research. This study was conducted specifically one-barangay official each from thirty six barangays of Indang, sixteen vendors from the market, five public market officials, one sanitary inspector and one garbage collector. The study utilized a theoretical approach to understand how the institutions, households and industries Carry out the provisions of the RA 9003. The survey was tested by the statistician and political science professor for validation. After the implementation of the prohibition, several benefits are pollution free communities due to less plastic production, environment cleanliness that leads to less flooding and disasters caused by plastic waste upon the implementation of the said prohibition resulting in a cleaner waste-free community.
