Abstract: The project was conducted in Bancod, Indang, Cavite from September 1985 to February 1986 for a period of six months. This was carried out to gain experience in the management of a citrus plantation and to enable the student to put into actual practice their technical knowledge learned from classroom discussion. An amount of Y53,230.00 was used by the farmer as capital for purchasing 50 seedlings and two bags of inorganic fertilizer (45-0-0) to boost development of the plant and to supply the nutrients needed by the plants. A part of the amount was paid to hire laborers. The citrus project under coconut served as a demonstration and an income generating project. This also encouraged farmers to engage in citrus growing as well as to improve their community lives through the Barangay Demonstration Laboratories (BDL) project. Since the citrus is only in its second year, ninety five percent of the total number of the plants showed vigorous growth. This was due to close super-vision of the student outreach agent and farmer cooperator.
