The study entitled “Perceived Work Ethics and Job Performance among Barangay Captains in Indang, Cavite in relation to RA 6713” was conducted in Indang, Cavite to determine the work ethics and job performance among barangay captains in Indang, Cavite and their relationship.
Research design was descriptive correlation. In choosing the respondents of the study, cluster sampling was used. Spearman ranked was used to determine the relationship of two variables.
Based on the obtained results, the work ethics and job performance among barangay captains are excellent. It was also found out that there is significant relationship between two variables. The work ethics is classified as commitment to public interest, professionalism, justness and sincerity, political neutrality, responsiveness to public, nationalism and patriotism, commitment to democracy and simple living. On the other hand, job performance highlights its role in providing basic needs in the barangay, public order, implementation of ordinances, establishing cooperatives, fund raising activities and solicitation for public works.
