Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at the Piggery Project of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang Cavite from October 21, 1981 to February 22, 1982. It aimed to acquire the manipulative and managerial skills in raising market hogs and determine the cost of producing a kilogram liveweight of market hogs. A net labor income of P213.50 for five piglets was attained within a period of four months. It inccurred a production cost of P11.56 per kilogram of pork. In the overall evaluation, raising hogs is profitable if all the approved practices are strictly allowed.
