The Development of an E-Learning System for Logic in College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University - Main Campus was developed to provide an online education for the students who are enrolled in the subject. "I'he study helped the students in the learning process by giving an alternative way of gaining knowledge in the Logic subject.
The Unified Process (UP Model) was used as paradigm in the development of the system. It consists of four (4) phases, the Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition Phases.
The E-Learning system was developed under XAMPP, wherein Apache was used as the server, PHP as the scripting language and MySQL for the database. Macromedia Dreamweaver was also used for the design of the interface, Google Chrome as the default browser, Adobe Photoshop CS for graphics, Macromedia Flash for animations, and Microsoft Office Word 2007 for the documentation.
The system was evaluated by the participants based on the given criteria: Accuracy, Consistency, Efficiency, Reliability, Information in the Program, User Interaction and Technical Aspects of the Software and Materials. Evaluators were composed of students who are taking the said subject, as well as the faculty teachers who are teaching the Logic. The system passed all the given criteria in the evaluation and met all the aimed features and functionality as well as the requirements and its objectives.
