Abstract: The farm practice was conducted at the DSAC Piggery Project of the Don Severino Agricultural Col-lege, Indang, Cavite from July 19, 1990 to November 19, 1990. This project aimed to determine the cost and return of fattening bogs by utilizing commercially prepared feeds supplemented with corn grits and forage for the diet of finishing bogs. Eight piglets with an average initial weight of 13.4 were used as stock. After four months of rearing, the animal consumed a total of 1,700 kilograms of commercial feed and 30 kilograms of corn grits. The hogs attained a total body weight of 613 kilograms and had a total gain in weight of 505.5 kilograms. Hogs gave an average feed efficiency of 3.4. The project netted an income of P3,144.20. Results showed that supplementation of corn grits and forages to hogs at the finishing stage lessened the cost of production but improved the quality of meat.
