Abstract: Gamban, Ronald Matthew R, Payo, John Lester F. Development of Wireless Key Access For Automobile. Undergraduate Design Project.Bachelor of Industrial Technology, major in Electronics Technology.Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Ma. Fatima B. Zufiiga. The study conducted from November 2015 to March 2016 at Sapa 2, Rosario, Cavite and Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite to develop and construct a wireless key access for automobiles. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. design awireless key access for automobile; 2. construct and fabricate the wireless key access for automobile: 3. test the performance of the design project; and 4. evaluate the performance and functionality of the design project. The Keyless entry (RKE) has Captivated automobile buyers, as evidenced by the popularityof RKE on new automobiles and as an after-market item. This application note provides an overview of RKE systems and discusses how they meet requirements such as range, battery life, reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance. It shows some circuits and design approaches and offers some predictions for future systems, which will include two-way communications. There are many car-owners that use remote control lock to secure their vehicle or cars. The idea of developing a wireless key access for car-owners has been proposed by the researcher for the purpose of more convenience, and for car-owners who are usually in a rush and tend to forget locking their cars. The new developed wireless key access has transmitter that has no push button. All the user has got to do is just go near the car with the transmitter, when the receiver get the signals from a distance of 1 meter, it will open by the use of actuator. The actuator will push the rod of the door lock and it will open the door and when the user reached to a distance of 2-3 meters, the actuator will pull the rod and it will automatically close the door. The prototype includes the battery. The source of electric energy came from the car battery. The wireless key access for automobile is a keyless device which does not need a key to unlock/ lock the door of the automobile. The wireless key access is a battery operated device. The evaluation was done by the students and professors using the evaluation project instrument for the prototype study. The study was rated with a numerical scale of 4.59 with a descriptive rating of outstanding. The authors recommend to make the transceiver circuit portable and to use larger battery capacity.

The prototype includes the battery. The source of electric energy came from the car battery.

The wireless key access for automobile is a keyless device which does not need a
key to unlock/ lock the door of the automobile. The wireless key access is a battery
operated device.

The evaluation was done by the students and professors using the evaluation project instrument for the prototype study. The study was rated with a numerical scale of 4.59 with a descriptive rating of outstanding.

The authors recommend to make the transceiver circuit portable and to use larger
battery capacity.
