The study entitled "Chinese Subscriber's Preferences in Selecting Mobile Network Service Provider in Beijing" was conducted to assess the subscriber's preferences in selecting mobile postpaid service provider. Specifically, the study aimed to: (l) present the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants in terms of age, sex, income, and educational attainment; (2) present the profile of the participants in terms of current service provider, subscription plan, and length of subscription; (3) determine the strategy used in learning about the postpaid service; (4) identify the factors affecting the participants preference in selecting mobile postpaid service; and (5) determine the relationship between the different factors affecting participants' preferences and their choice mobile network provider.
The research design used in the study is descriptive method which defines the characteristics of a population of in Ingram Micro (China) Holdings & Commercial Company Limited in their preference of mobile service provider. The researcher was able to collect information through distribution of survey questionnaires and interaction with its employees. The researcher used survey questionnaires to be able to gather data and information necessary to answer the questions of this study.
Findings of the study showed that majority of the participants were China Telecom subscribers using high end smart phones which have a monthly subscription plan ranging from CNY 224 to CNY 275. Most were females who were college
