Abstract: GALAMGAM, RONNEL A., RIOS, JOYLYN A., and UMEL, ELKAH M. Preparedness of Cavite State University- Main Campus in Fire Incident. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser Dr. Marissa C. Lontoc. This study was conducted from October 2017 to April 2018 to determine the level preparedness of Cavite State University Main Campus in case of fire incident as perceived by selected university officials and students. Descriptive method of research was used to describe the level preparedness of Cavite State University Main Campus in case of fire incident. Respondents of the study includes university officials and student leaders in Cavite State University Main Campus. A general interview guide approach was used as the main gathering tool of this study. Based on the results of the study, the level of preparedness in Cavite State University-Main campus in fire case of incident, are the following: university have enough fund that is used for purchasing, operations and maintenance of the fire safety management of the University. University there are no fire emergency response team was created but there are emergency team to respond any kind emergency event happen, in fire safety policy there are posted about fire, some colleges did not inform that the university conducted seminars and training about fire preparedness, because of lack of communication between the students and every heads of department and fire safety equipment is sufficient to purchased equipment but the some fire extinguisher is not usable. As a conclusion, the University has enough fund to purchase the equipments to he used but due to lack of communication. the other equipments are is not usable. Also, in training and seminars, some colleges did not conduct a training and seminars about fire preparedness. Thus, study recommends that the University is establish a strong connection and cooperation between the higher personnel through subordinates of every college of CVSU to know the necessity of each college in terms of training/seminars and fire safety equipment.
