Abstract: AMBRAD, KRISTELLE ANNE D., BAUTISTA, APRIL TESS T. and MALLARI, JHULE MIGUELA B. Land Use and Soil Characterization of Ylang-ylang River Watershed, Cavite, Philippines. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: For. Junser P. Magpantay, MSc. The study was conducted from August 2018 to March 2019 in the four municipality and cities within Ylang-ylang River Watershed (YYRW): Silang, Dasmarinas, General Trias and Imus, Cavite, to determine the watershed's existing land use and soil characteristics. YYRW was validated through (SRTM-DEM) Land use map that extracted from LANDSAT 2017 from USGS. The different soil types are Guadalupe clay, Carmona clay loam, Guadalupe clay loam, Magallanes clay loam (steep phase), Magallanes loam, Quiangua silt loam, Tagaytay loam and Tagaytay loam (steep phase). The soil pH ranges from 4.39-7.49 (very strongly acidic to neutral). The organic matter (0M) of the soil ranges from 0.81- 2.75 while the percent, total Nitrogen (N) ranges from 1.621-5.498 percent. The available Phosphorus (P) varies from 1-118 ppm while the available available Potassium (K) ranges from 307-1 ,295 ppm. The Exchangeable Pottassium (K) ranges from 0.316-3.215 me/100g of soil while the exchangeable Calcium (Ca) ranges from 5.099-35.571 me/100g of soil. The Exchangeable Magnesium (Mg) ranges from 2.201-11.220 me/100g of soil while the exchangeable Sodium (Na) ranges from 0.105-1.120 me/100g of soil. For bulk density, the values range from1.82-2.18 g/cm3 which mean moderately slow to slow permeability with pore space volume equivalent to 14 percent to 41 percent, and the soil moisture content ranges from 4 to 14 percent. The Soil texture varied from silt loam to loam. Results show that the crops suited for the municipality and cities in YYRW are banana, coconut, pineapple,
