Abstract: A broiler production project was conducted at Yumul's Farm in Palangue III, baic, Cavite from January 2, 1998 to February 11, 1998. All farm inputs were shouldered by the farm, while the farm practice student provided the labor and management of the flock. Five thousand day old straight-run Arbor Acre chicks were used in the study. They were reared for 41 days and consumed a total amount of 14,750 kg of feeds, with an average of 3.02 kg and an average feed conversion efficiency of 1.91 kg. Mortality was 4.06 percent of the total number of day-old chicks used. The health program, sound management and good genetic make-up of the birds contributed to their good performance and, consequently, the income. Upon termination of the project, the birds registered an average body weight of 1.62 kg. They were sold on live weight basis at p 50.00/kg. A gross income of a P 39,875.00 and a total production cost of P 260,702.28 gave a net income of P 130,172.72 and return on investment of 49.93 percent.
