Abstract: A farm practice was conducted at Penalba's Poultry Farm in Pulo, Indang, Cavite from January 31 to March 16, 1997. One-thousand day-old broiler chicks were used in the project to help the student gain experience and skills in broiler operation. After the conduct of the project, the birds consumed a total of 3,650 kg of feeds with an average of 3.88 kg. The birds attained an average body weight of 1.73 kg. The feed conversion efficiency of the birds was 2.36 kg and a mortality rate of 6.8 percent. The project obtained a net income of R 6,388.55 with a 10.42 percent return on investment.
