This study was aimed to” 1) determine the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents; 2) determine the methods of caring, processing, and management the farmers are using; 3) determine the relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents and beekeeping practices; and; 4) determine the problems commonly encountered by the raisers. Five municipalities of Cavite were selected as research areas of the study. These were Alfonso, Indang, Mendez, Silang, and Tagaytay City. There were twelve respondents in this study. The average age of the beekeepers was 40.92years. Majority of the raisers were able to reach the college level. The mean year of the experience in farming was 3.29 years. The average size of the farm was 205.42 sqm. Using the Chi-square test in analizing the data gathered. It was found out that age, educational attainment, income and experience in farming were not related to beekeeping practices. Most the raisers said that beekeeping gave them additional income. Combination of procurement, production practices, harvesting and marketing was the most common beekeeping practices employed by the raisers. Most of them were for sole proprietorship of business organization. Majority of the respondents used graded honeybees (Apis mellifera). Most beekeepers did not practice swarm control system. Beekeepers sold their hive products inside and outside the corresponding town. Their common buyers were the local buyers. The most encountered problem in production was occurrence of diseases. In harvesting, the most common problem was lack of raw materials while few local was the most common problem reported in marketing. The most common plan of the respondents regarding their business was to improve the production.
