Abstract: DAGUMAN, JANINE PEARL Ma, GABIANA, CZAR LEENDER Me, and SECURATA, MERRY ENERUE CHARLYN Do Knowledge and Implementation of Anti-Bullying Act in Public and Private Secondary Schools in the City of Dasmariöas, Caviteo Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Ms. Mailah M. Ulep Bullying has become widespread in schools in the Philippines, and it encompasses physical bullying, social bullying, gender-based bullying, and cyber bullying. With this, a bill was eventually signed into law on September 12, 2013, by former President Benigno Aquino Ill. Republic Act No. 10627 or Anti-Bullying Act prohibits bullying or any severe or repeated act which may cause physical or emotional harm, creating a hostile environment at school, infringing on another's rights, and substantially disrupting the orderly operation of a school (Lao, 2013). Primarily, this study aimed to determine the demographic profile of teachers and students; determine the rate of incidents of bullying in public and private secondary schools as perceived by the students; determine the level of knowledge of teachers and students on Anti-Bullying Act; determine the level of implementation of Anti-Bullying Act as perceived by teachers and students; identify the significant difference in the level of knowledge of Anti-Bullying Act as perceived by the teachers and students; identify the relationship between the socio-demographic profile of teachers and students and the level of knowledge on Anti-Bullying Act; identify the relationship between the level of teachers' knowledge and level of students' knowledge on Anti-Bullying Act; and identify the relationship between the level of teachers' knowledge on Anti-Bullying Act and level of its implementation in selected private and public schools in City of Dasmarinas, Cavite. The study was conducted among 150 teachers and 150 students as participants from public and private schools with faculty population not lower than 25 in the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite. The list of schools was obtained from the Department of Education (DepEd). The results of the study revealed that both participants were knowledgeable of the Anti-Bullying Act and showed that the level of knowledge of teachers and students were high which means that they were highly knowledgeable regarding the said Act, and they can easily identify if an incident is bullying or not and if said will be sanctioned based on the act. Also, the study showed that students' awareness on the Act was high which means that regardless of Anti-Bullying Act, they were able to identify if such incident is bullying or not. On the other hand, as perceived by the participants of the study, it was found out that the implementation of Anti-Bullying Act in schools was moderate and it may be concluded that implementation still needs to be improved. Despite of the obtained result on level of implementation, awareness and knowledge of both participants were still high. Moreover, it has been noted that there was no significant difference between the awareness of teachers and students and there was no significant relationship between the demographic profile of the students and teachers and their level of knowledge on Anti Bullying Act. Whereas the level of implementation of the said Act and the level of teachers' knowledge were significantly related.
