Abstract: ISIDRO, KIM AERONNE L. Hog Fattening Project in Cavite State University — Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz. The project was conducted at the Animal Science Piggery of Cavite State University — Main Campus, Indang, Cavite on December 14, 2018 to March 30, 2019. The student entrepreneur aimed to apply the knowledge and skills learned about the proper management in hog fattening, develop entrepreneurial skills in marketing the swine and gain profit with this line of business. The project reared four pigs with an average initial weight of 14 kilograms. They were given 25 kilograms of pre-starter pellet, 190 kilograms of starter mash, 400 kilograms of grower pellet and 200 kilograms of finisher pellet. The hogs reached 88.75 kilograms average final weight and 74.75 kilograms average gain in weight. One hog was sold at live weight basis with a price of P118.00 per kilogram at 103 kilograms. Three hogs were sold at dressed weight with a price of P160.00 at an average weight of 67.33 kilograms. The total cost of production was P40,920.54 which included the cost of stocks, cost of feeds and the miscellaneous cost. The total sales was P44,644.00 including the sales from the bag of feeds which was P170.00. The net income was P4,087.87 and the return of investment of the project was 10.08%.
