Abstract: CRUTO, MARGIELYN LATINA, “ Production Management of Premium Packaging, International Inc”. An Undergraduate Case Study, Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing, Cavite State University, Apnl 1999. Adviser: Mrs. Cecilia T. Cayao. A three month case study was conducted at Premium Packaging located at Halayhay Tanza Cavite from November 1998 to January 1999. The study aimed to: 1) describe the production process and quality control; 2) identify the problems encountered by the firms particularly on the production aspect; and 3) formulate feasible solutions to such problems. Data on production were gathered through personal interview and actual observation during the production process. Other relevant information was gathered from the records of the company. Descriptive method was used in analyzing the production process of the firm. This was the methods employed since the data included in the study is mostly qualitative in nature. This study dealt primarily on the production aspect of the firm. Inventories from five years were also included in the data gathered. Management provides motivation and incentives to their employees in order to motivate them and do their best in performing their job. They implements rules and regulations to maintain the discipline inside the firm. Findings of the study was, the company faced decreasing demand for their products due to currency devaluation. Management is experiencing some difficulties regarding to their machines. Some of their machines were found to have defects, which resulted to production of defective units. The firm is needed to purchase more machines, which will be used in their operation. Quality control is the major concerns of the company. They ensures customers satisfaction by continuous enhancement of their regular customers, quality assurance, on time delivery and service at competitive prices.
