Abstract: The study "Germination end Growth Responses of Papaya to Different geed Treatments" was conducted in Mendez, Cavite from August to December 1 to determine v:hich of the treatments will give the highest percentage of germination and best Growth in papaya. The different treatments were water, cold water, calcium chloride, sodium chloride and the control, bout 150 seeds of papaya were treated, sown in plastic bags and were transplanted 30 days after sowing. Gathering of data was done monthly up to three months Experimental findings showed that Treatment 1 (control) gave the highest percentage of germination with a mean of 80.0. Treatment 3 water ) obtained the best growth with the highest height of 52.76 centimeters. The longest leaves was observed in Treatment 1 with a mean of 20.51 and the least -was obtained in x treatment 5 ( sodium chloride )with a mean of 15.56, Treatment 3 (cold water ) obtained the widest leaves with a mean of 22004 and the least was obtained in Treatment 5 ( sodium chloride) with a mean of 18.250 Greatest number of leaves was produced by Treatment 3 with a mean of 160 13 and the least number of leaves was obtained by Treatment 2 (warm water) with a mean of 14-14. However, in terms of statical analysis, all the treatment showed no significant differences in all parameters observed.
