Abstract: This farm practice entitled "Off-Season Production of Pineapple" was conducted to assess the profitability of pineapple production and to help the student gain experience in managing a typical pineapple farm. This project was carried out at Matagbak II, Alfonso, Cavite from July 1994 to February 1995. The pineapple plantation had an area of 5,000 sq m suited for "Off-Season Production of Pineapple". The plants in the selected project were uniform in size, age, and appearance. Plants were applied with ethrel solution at the rate of 30 milliliters per plant. Flowering occurred 43 days after application of ethrel solution. A total of 28,700 marketable fruits were harvested which obtained a gross sales of P125,500.00. After deducting the total expenses of P45,146.00, the project gave a net income of P80,354.00 and return on investment (ROI) of 177.98 percent.
