Abstract: A project was conducted at Labrador's Poultry Farm, Lumampong Halayhay, Indang, Cavite from January 25 to March 5, 1996. A total of 1,000 day-old straight run chicks was used in this project. Throughout the operation, the student acquired managerial experience and skills in broiler production. Besides, the profitability was determined in raising broilers. After the operation, harvested birds were 935 heads which weighed 1,565.7 kg with an average of 1.67 kg. The birds consumed a total of 3,359 kg of feeds that averaged to 3.35 kg. The birds exhibited an average of 2.00 kg feed conversion efficiency. A mortality of 3.9% and 26 runts was recorded and observed during the entire period of the project. The birds were disposed of at 40 days of age and were sold at P45.00/kg liveweight which amounted to P70,456.50. The project had a net income of P11,483.96 and obtained a Return on Investment of 19.36%.
