Abstract: A farm practice was conducted at Del Mundo's Broiler Farm in Tambong Balagbag, Indang, Cavite from August 3 to September 12, 1995. All inputs were provided by the farm owner while labor was provided by the student. Two thousand (2,000) birds were used in the project. They were raised in a brooding growing house for 41 days. Two infrared heaters were used as heat sources during the brooding period. After 41 days of rearing, the birds consumed an average of 3.52 kg of feeds. They attained an average body weight of 1.67 kg and a feed conversion efficiency of 2.11 kg. Mortality was 5.2 per cent. The total expenses of the project amounted to P 105,540.38. Gross income amounted to P126,652.80 and, after deducting all the expenses, a net income of P 21,112.42 was obtained. The project realized a 16.7 percent return on investment.
