Abstract: A farm practice was conducted at Feraer's Poultry Farm from December 22, 1995 to February 6, 1996 in Tambong Malaki, Indang, Cavite. A total of 3,846 birds was recovered out of 4,000 birds raised, with 3.85 percent mortality. The birds consumed a total of 16,350 kg of feeds or an average of 4.25 kg. A final average body weight of 1.69 kg was attained, giving a feed conversion efficiency of 2.42 kg per bird. At the end of the project, the birds were sold on liveweight basis. The project had a gross income of P308,122.78, with an actual expense of P270,711.44. A net income of P 37,411.34 was realized resulting in a 12.68 percent return on investment. The project encountered problems like sudden changes in ambient temperature which resulted in lameness and retardation of the growth of some birds. The chicks were given additional medication to prevent or minimize death.
