The study was conducted from February to March 2018 at Little Red School, SPED Center; Indang Central School, Mendez Central School, Tagaytay Sped Center; Tagaytay Central School in Cavite, to determine the benefits obtained in sports participation of differently abled individuals. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. Determined the demographic characteristics of person with disabilities who participate in sports in terms of age, sex, physical disability; 2. determine the benefits obtained by differently abled individual in sports participation in terms of physical, social, mental, emotional aspect; 3. know if there's a significant difference in benefits obtained by differently abled individual in sports participation in terms of physical, social, mental and emotional aspect; and 4. know if there's a significant difference in benefits obtained by the participants when grouped according to their demographic characteristic.
The participants were 33 differently abled individuals from Little Red School, SPED Center; Indang Central School, Mendez Central School, Tagaytay Sped Center; Tagaytay Central School in Cavite. They were selected through the use of stratified random sampling techniques. A survey questionnaire was used to gather the data needed in the study.
The result showed that the demographic characteristic has high significant difference to the benefits obtained by differently abled individuals in sports participation.
