The study attempted to determine the socioeconomic status, self-esteem and aggression level of adult male students at Trece Martires City National High School.
Specifically, this study sought to determine 1) the participant’s socioeconomic status; 2) the participant’s self esteem; 3) the participant’s aggression level in terms of anger, physical aggression, hostility and verbal aggression; and 4) if there is a significant relationship between participant’s socioeconomic status and self esteem; socioeconomic status and aggression level; and self esteem and their level of aggression of the participants.
There were 36 participants in this study. This study was conducted from December 2012 to February 2013. The modified questionnaire which was validated and undergone reliability test was used to determine the participant’s socioeconomic Status, self esteem and aggression level.
Majority of 53% of the participants were categorized in the middle class. The result reveals that the participants had a high level of self esteem and aggression level. Results also revealed that the three null hypotheses were rejected; the participant’s socioeconomic status and self-esteem were highly and significantly related; the association existed between the participant’s socioeconomic status and aggression level and the self-esteem and aggression level of the participants were
highly and significantly related.
