April 2002, Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido. A study was conducted to train the students in actual work and get exposed to the different activities and exercises in the company in order to enhance their business insights, experience to work as a real employee of the firm and identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend some feasible solution to the problem identified. The field study was conducted at Puerto Azul Golf and Country Club, Ternate, Cavite from October 24, 2001 — January 13, 2002. The data were gathered through observations and interviews with the HRD Officer-in-Charge, supervisor of different departments and employees. Other information were obtained from the records/files of the company, CvSU Library, Research Center and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Puerto Azul Golf and Country Club is one of the largest and prestigious Hotel here in our Country, reserve to offer tourists and locals a one-stop-shop destination for leisure and relaxation, it is also home to the sports village which offers a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. Functions rooms are suitable for conventions, conferences and seminars. Restaurants are also made were the guests can enjoy their favorite food. Assignment at HRD include clerical works. Filing and sorting overtime form, leave request form and extra personnel request form, photocopying the necessary documents, making 201 file, time keeper posting schedules, recording important documents. There were times when being assigned to the accounting department, cafeteria, housekeeping and restaurants. It is therefore recommended that Puerto Azul think of a more effective strategy to promote their company. To be competitive and most importantly to attract more potential customers to visit the beauty of Puerto Azul.
