Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Engr. Cene M. Bago. Proposed Design of Three Storey School Building that can serve as Isolation Facility or Evacuation Center During Crisis was conducted at Asis Residence at General Trias, Cavite from March 2021 to June 2022. Generally, the study aimed to design and analyze a three-storey school building that is convertible into isolation facility or evacuation center. Offering shelter to possible occupants when crisis emerges was the focal point of the design of structure. By gathering specifications which affected the special features of the structure, the design flourished as it was. The design and analysis aimed to enhance the knowledge of the researchers in designing a three-storey building with the building specifications, end user's preference, structural codes, and other building codes that co-relate with the study. The building was designed under the influence of the Green Building Code of the Philippines, and thus have sustainable characteristics within its design. The design criterion for was triangles of different orientation that symbolizes Evacuation Shelter, School, and Isolation Facility. The Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD pro) software was used to determine the factored axial load (Pu), ultimate shear (Vu) and ultimate Moment which are used in designing the structural members. Details on the computation are also shown in the study. All specifications, in architectural design and structural design, were duly followed in the design process. Detailed analysis and design were proven safe and economical after the manual computation of the design.
