DELA CRUZ, THEA JANELLE A., QUIJANO, NICA C. Automated Monitoring System of Delinquent Grade of Students for Cavite State University- Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. 2022. Adviser: Prof. Gladys G. Perey.
The study, Automated Monitoring System of Delinquent Grade of Students for Cavite State University - Main Campus, was conducted at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from October 2020 to May 2022. The objective of the study was to develop an automated monitoring system of delinquent grades that can easily monitor student's delinquent grade. Specifically, it aimed to; 1. identify problems encountered by the registration adviser, subject instructor, and the student in monitoring the concerned student's delinquent grade; 2. design a system that: a. monitors the status of the delinquent grade of the student; b. sends notification to the student about the status of his or her delinquent grade through e-mail; and c. provides summarized reports necessary for monitoring the student's delinquent grades; 3. develop the designed system using PHP, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and XAMPP; 4. test the system's functionality, reliability, usability and integrity; and 5. evaluate the overall performance of the system using ISO 9126. The researchers used the prototype model of software development, which served as a guide for the development of the system. The system was evaluated based on the software quality attributes in accordance with ISO 9126. The overall assessment of the software was an average mean score of 4.60 with descriptive interpretation as "Excellent". Several features such as that allows the student to add his or her subject with a delinquent grade into the system; enables the users to communicate with the administrator; and allows the system to be responsive in a mobile device were recommended to further improve the system.
