An introduction to Photosynthesis and Photo Morphogenesis -- The photosynthetic process -- Basic principles of photophysics and photochemistry -- Models of the light reaction of photosynthesis -- Biology of photosystem: Structural aspects -- Application of Photo Morphogenesis -- Carbon dioxide metabolism in photosynthesis -- Gene regulation and Photo Morphogenesis -- The photoperiodic control of plant reproduction.
"The photosynthetic process depends on a set of complex protein molecules that are located in and around a highly organized membrane. Through a series of energy transducing reaction, the photosynthetic machinery transforms light energy into a stable form that can last from hundreds of millions of years. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast, specifically using chlorophyll, the green pigment involved in photosynthesis. Photosynthesis takes place primarily in plant leaves, and little to none occurs in stems, etc. The parts of a typical leaf include the upper and lower epidermis, the mesophyll, the vascular bundle(s) (Veins) and the stomates.
