Lontoc, PhD The study generally determined the Awareness of selected residents on city ordinance no. 16-06 otherwise known as the revised general trias anti-lgbt discrimination ordinance in barangay Bagumbayan General Trias Cavite. Specifically, it also identified the following: a) the demographic profile of the participants based on their age, sex, gender, civil status, educational attainment, and economic status; and assess their level of awareness in terms of prohibited acts, programs, and penalties, and to determine if there is a significant relationship between the two. The convenience and random sampling method was employed among persons aged 18 years old and above who were residents of Barangay Bagumbayan, General Trias Cavite. The descriptive-correlational strategy was used in this investigation. The frequency count, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, and one-way analysis of variance (f-test) were used to compare the degree of awareness and demographic profile of the participants. The study revealed that the residents of Brgy. Bagumbayan, General Trias, Cavite are aware of the anti-discrimination program and the prohibited acts imposed by the city government of General Trias. However, the residents are unaware of the penalties involved if they violate the city ordinance. Therefore, the study recommends that the penalties within the anti-discrimination ordinance be promoted to the public, particularly the residents of Brgy. Bagumbayan.
